Different bikes, different boots.

Cruisers: I use my Matterhorn, Vibram soled cowboy boots
Tourer: Generally go with the Sidi Adventure boot (thick sole due to height of bike)
Sports: Alpinestars SMX
Humper: Sidi Vortex (pretty much worn out but I love em)
For hot, hot, hot days (so once or twice a year) I go with TCX Move shorties

Daytona, not cheap but they last and are comfortable enough to walk around in all day. Bought in 2006 and still going strong

I won't believe it until it has been officially denied.

Japanese, Ray?, with regards to your new toy, you couldn't hit a bull in the arse with a
handful of wheat
& if ya can't stick ya finger up the barrel, it ain't worth having.

Ray, you should know that thongs are not safe on the bike, they are no better than your open sandal ones above

Here are a couple of options for you....
One for cruising down to your local Blue Oyster Bar and the other for the racetrack.

Smitty bit concerned you know where to find these photos.

Try these . 29 years old. New soles and heels 2 years ago now all they need is new uppers and they will be good as new.

Still got the same squeaky SIDIs I've had for years. Should probably get something more suited to the bike. However as i keep dragging pegs so badly I should stick to the SIDIs for ankle protection until I sort the suspension out!

Black SuperStorm, shortie TORs, wilbers +10mm shocks, Hagon progressive fork springs, Harrison Billet 6 pots.

Ahh! Those are my nonsense bikes ... I like to keep an urban street bike to hand. By that I mean something that is quick, nimble and chuckable. Sort of supermoto hooligan bike ... my current one is a 2015 MT-09 ... Race flashed for effect!
